Clinitouch named 2022 Prix Galien UK Candidate

We are thrilled to announce that our Clinitouch platform has been named as a candidate for the 'Best Digital Health Solution' at the prestigious 2022 Prix Galien UK Awards.

Billed as the 'the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in biopharmaceutical research', the awards recognise innovation across the life sciences sector.

Our Clinitouch platform is currently deployed across the NHS. We deliver award-winning virtual wards and remote patient monitoring to improve the lives of thousands of patients across the UK. With international projects on the horizon too, it’s an exciting time to be involved in digital health.

The Prix Galien UK Awards launched in 1990 and have been awarded to 36 products since. Winners are selected every two years by the Prix Galien UK Awards Committee. The Committee comprises many of the UK's leading names in healthcare, including representatives from top UK universities.

“Prix Galien is one of the most prestigious awards in healthcare, so we are honoured to be amongst the candidates for 2022."

‘Best Digital Health Solution’ is one of the most competitive categories at this year’s awards, with 15 companies in the running. Other categories for this year’s awards include ‘Best Biotechnology Product’, ‘Best Pharmaceutical Product’, and ‘Best Medical Technology’.

Chris Barker, CEO at Spirit Health, commented: “Prix Galien is one of the most prestigious awards in healthcare, so we are honoured to be amongst the candidates for 2022. Our Clinitouch platform leverages innovative digital technology to improve outcomes for patients, whilst being flexible to the ever-changing needs of healthcare systems. What started as a project for a small cohort of patients with COPD has evolved into technology-enabled care across multiple conditions and pathways. We continue to prevent admissions, enable earlier discharges, and empower people to take control of their own health, providing remote monitoring and virtual wards at scale.”

The winners were revealed at the Prix Galien UK Awards Ceremony on 12 May at the Natural History Museum in London. For more information, visit https://prixgalien.co.uk/.
